Advent

It's here again. That rush of excitement of opening a door on a new era. That first piece of early morning (normally frowned upon, but officially sanctioned) chocolate in the shape of something vaguely but not quite resembling something not quite seasonal. The picture left behind from a hundred Christmases ago of a carefully wrapped and bowed package. Then in two seconds it's gone and the achingly long wait for tomorrow's rush of excitement begins.

1st December 2006, much like every other 1st December, except that this time I've been moved to record it.

England have started well in the 2nd ashes test, I listened to a varied selection of tunes on the way to the office, Candidate, Tom McRae, Chili Peppers, KT Tunstall, the office is empty as everyone else has gone to Barcelona for the Christmas party, and I can quietly work with the iPod for company. More later.........
